We’re All Endometriosisters

Updated: Oct 31, 2019

EmpressBody knows that Endometriosis is an often painful and scary condition that many women have to live with. It is often so debilitating that it stops women from living their lives normally when the pain gets too much. EmpressBody are dedicated to spreading knowledge and enlightenment for female ailments that don’t get as much attention and coverage in mainstream media as others, like Endometriosis. We’ve put together a definitive explanation of what the condition is, how it affects people, and what you can do to tackle the symptoms with EmpressBody. It’s all about starting the conversation …

So what is Endometriosis?

Endometriosis (en-doe-me-tree-O-sis) is an often painful disorder where tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus. Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining your pelvis. Rarely, endometrial tissue may spread beyond pelvic organs.

With endometriosis, displaced endometrial tissue continues to act as it normally would — it thickens, breaks down and bleeds with each menstrual cycle. But, because this displaced tissue has no way to exit your body, it becomes trapped. When endometriosis involves the ovaries, cysts called endometriomas may form. The surrounding tissue can become irritated, eventually developing scar tissue and adhesions — abnormal bands of fibrous tissue that can cause pelvic tissues and organs to stick to each other.

And what are the symptoms?

The most common symptom shared by many women with Endometriosis is pelvic pain, often associated with your menstrual period. Although many women experience cramping during their menstrual period, women with endometriosis typically describe menstrual pain that's far worse than usual. They also tend to report that the pain increases over time. No one deserves period cramps that leave you in agony.

Common signs and symptoms of endometriosis may also include:

· Painful periods (dysmenorrhea). Pelvic pain and cramping may begin before your period and extend several days into your period. You may also have lower back and abdominal pain.

· Pain during intercourse. Pain during or after sex is common with endometriosis.

· Pain with bowel movements or urination. You're most likely to experience these symptoms during your period.

· Excessive bleeding. You may experience occasional heavy periods (menorrhagia) or bleeding between periods (menometrorrhagia).

· Infertility. Endometriosis is first diagnosed in some women who are seeking treatment for infertility.

· Other symptoms. You may also experience fatigue, diarrhoea, constipation, bloating or nausea, especially during menstrual periods.

Annoyingly, the severity of your pain isn't necessarily a reliable indicator of the extent of the condition. Some women with mild endometriosis have intense pain, while others with advanced endometriosis may have little pain or even no pain at all.

Endometriosis is sometimes mistaken for other conditions that can cause pelvic pain, such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) or ovarian cysts. It may be confused with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), a condition that causes bouts of diarrhoea, constipation and abdominal cramping. IBS can accompany endometriosis, which can complicate the diagnosis.

Endometriosis can cause pain — sometimes severe — especially during your period. Unfortunately this condition can often cause fertility problems, more fortunately though, EmpressBody has a readily available treatment to get every Goddess balanced and well using holistic methods straight from Mother Nature.

EmpressBody Recommends:

The Detox Pearls can help ease the symptoms of endometriosis as they EmpressBody pearls work by the specially selected herbs creating a pulling effect that draws toxins, bad bacteria, dead cells, old bloodclots, mucus and more from your yoni, while at the same time tightening your yoni and deterring vaginal dryness and other ailments. In particular, the pearls help to regulate the menstrual cycle correctly as endometriosis causes retrograde menstruation, where the blood does not flow out of the body as it should, this is one of the main theories as to why women have endometriosis. The pearls also help to flush out the endometrial tissue that is deposited in locations they shouldn't be e.g the outside lining of the uterus.

Our Recommendation:

Because every woman is so beautifully unique we do tell everyone that their relief may differ from other women, but we generally advise women with endometriosis to complete a full detox of 24 pearls back to back. This means inserting 6 pearls over a course of 24 days, leaving each detox pearl in for 3 days and not just 2 days to help with the endometriosis.
